For the first time, they celebrated the Lunar New Year with a beautiful display of handmade winter lanterns. The three of us decided to check it out on the last night of the display, February 2. It was packed! I guess we weren't the only people who didn't care about this year's Super Bowl.
It was really beautiful to behold but I have to say that it was tough to be in the moment and/or appreciate it fully because of the stop-start lines and waiting for everyone and their brother to take their selfies/pictures. Ugh. It was especially hard to dodge slow pokes on the narrow paths with a stroller. So many people were there with their kids and yet, there were plenty of people who were totally clueless and not helpful in making way for people like us. I definitely had the thought that it would've been easier with just Evan and me. AJ did enjoy the lights, colors, and people though. It would've been a shame for her to miss out.
